Vinyasa
Yoga is an exceptional exercise that works to improve one’s mind, body and soul. It originated in the East about 3,000 years ago. Within recent years, popularity of this exercise has grown significantly in the West and there are many different forms of it that you can learn. For example, different forms of yoga focus on things like poses, breathing, and chanting. For starters, let’s begin by learning more about Vinyasa yoga.
Vinyasa style yoga focuses on putting things together in an intelligent fashion. Vinyasa is a variant from the Surya Namaskar style. Within the Vinyasa style of yoga, people must go through the same set of positions or postures while they concentrate on a specific pattern of breathing. Vinyasa style of yoga’s purpose is to lead the body to purification through sweating and increased circulation. Vinyasa style of yoga also helps people who practice it reduce their risk of injury and improve their flexibility. Within the Vinyasa style of yoga there are six different series. The sequences begin with standing and sun salutation poses. This is referred to as the opening sequence. Then depending on a person’s level of skill the next sequence is called Primary, Intermediate and Advanced. The sequence is then finished with what is called the finishing sequence. As people go through this exercise, they are able to do so at their pace.
